What makes Planets And Psyche Unique?

Planets And Psyche does not treat planets as just a list of keywords, or as isolated, disjointed entities. This is not your usual 'theory' or 'Planets 101' rundown like you find in most astrology books or on the internet.

The Planets And Psyche framework is built on 3 fundamental principles:

1. Each planet corresponds to a particular area of our psyche

Rooted in the "As above, so below - as within, so without" principle, each planet corresponds to a specific function of our psyche. For example, Mercury is our thoughts, Mars our actions, etc.

When we map the planets onto the psyche this way, it becomes easier to understand which part of ourselves is being activated, challenged, or developed - and which planetary energy to work with. Feeling alone and misunderstood? Forget about Mercury - focus on Jupiter.

2. The distance from the Sun MATTERS!

A planet's role is best understood through its distance from the Sun - the closer the planet, the more personal and consciously accessible its influence; the farther, the more collective and unconscious.

That's the reason why we look at Mercury or Venus - and NOT Neptune or Pluto - when trying to understand personality, and we look at Neptune or Pluto - and NOT Mercury or Venus - when we analyze transits.

3. Planetary functions build on each other in a particular SEQUENCE

Planetary qualities (Mercury = thoughts, Venus = feelings, etc.) build on each other in a logical, developmental sequence and their hierarchy cannot be substituted or shuffled. We start from the Sun and the Moon (our core identity) and move through increasingly complex layers of psychological development - all the way to Pluto.

When we understand planets as a developmental sequence, rather than a random collection of traits - it becomes obvious why we can't resolve a Saturn crisis before addressing our Mars function.
